The CSU Health Network is recruiting for a Staff Psychiatrist.

The Staff Psychiatrist works as a provider of psychiatric care and reports directly to the Director of Psychiatry Services. The Staff Psychiatrist provides care for patients with acute and chronic psychiatric conditions, including substance use problems. This position provides psychiatric assessments and management, ordering and interpreting tests and documenting care in the electronic medical records; assesses patients progress and modifies treatment plans accordingly; institutes emergency hospitalizations for patients in crisis for their safety and stabilization when needed; refers patients to the community providers when needed; provides telepsychiatry services through the phone/video conferencing if needed; and collaborates with others within and outside of the CSU Health Network to ensure that patients receive the optimal care.

This is a regular, academic year or 12-month position that may be either part- or full-time, working 20-40 hours per week. The number of hours will be identified and a regular schedule established. The annualized full-time salary is pro-rated based on the established part-time schedule. The salary is commensurate with experience, qualifications, and applicable board-certified psychiatry subspecialties. There is opportunity for additional salary if you have completed fellowships and are board certified in e psychiatry subspecialties appropriate for the Health Network, for example, Addiction Psychiatry.
